Interior Design Influences, North v. South?
Today, we are talking all things interiors. I know most of us probably have a mixed bag when it comes to decorating. I don’t think ‘the rules’ are as strict as they use to be. Who doesn’t have pops of sea blue or wicker furniture and an oversized Bouclé footstool? However, there are still some who say where you live should influence your style.
In general, Southern states because of their warmer and humid climates tend to have more traditional and coastal vibes. Using wood, stone and brick in the design. Up North, we tend to have more mid-century and scandinavian vibes. This lends itself to lighter and brighter interiors, with natural materials throughout. Whatever your style, I can help you find it or make it. I love walking through homes and daydreaming about all that it could be.
